Creations by Camie

Hello my little petunias.

Click play to hear beautiful music.

A couple of months ago I came across an inspiring post by Amalie on her blog, "What A Beautiful Waste Of Time". She made these DIY rings with just some steel wire; I was so inspired by them I went right out to the local hardware store and bought some steel wire for myself. What I didn't know is she actually got some shiny coated steel wire that you'd typically buy at a craft store. My wire was unfinished and very raw looking, which I didn't mind since it came out very rustic looking. Here is a link to Amalie's original post.
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL WASTE OF TIME

After I made about twenty rings, I graduated to earrings and pendants. Here are a few of my creations. Sorry I currently don't have any pictures of my rings that I started out with but they may come in a later post.

Its a real shame you can't see the true brilliance of the pink earrings in the last picture... I just didnt' have the green background that I was looking for... I just figured this would do.

So what do you think? Have you ever tried making your own jewelry? And also has anyone had any experience with sites like Etsy.com selling their stuff? Would you recommend it?

Talk to you lovelys soon!

❀Relaxing Moloka'i❀

Hello my pretty sunflowers,
This past week my family and I took a little vacation to the island of Moloka'i. It was my first time there and my first time on a propeller airplane. Now that was an experience.

To the right you can sort of see the spinning propellers. Sorry for the hazy look of these photos, I took them while inside the small plane and it had rather hazy looking windows.

My home...I've never realized just how over populated and crowded Oahu really is... I still love my home though. Good bye Oahu.

Hello Moloka'i. Very pure and quite untouched.

Papohaku beach. Absolutely beautiful beach, a must see if you ever have the opportunity to visit Moloka'i.

I absolutely love the sand there. Although it was very windy and it felt like a desert at times, the sand was pretty.

The trail to Kalaupapa Lookout. I absolutely love the forest and the like, so this was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. The air was nice and cool, and everything was just so serene--but then again, that's Moloka'i.

On the way down the cute little path I came across a cute patch of flowers--okay okay, so their probably weeds, but their cute!

My adorable little friend picking some of the little flowers.

Kalaupapa lookout. This place is something to visit. Very nice scenery but a very sad story comes with it.

Aaaww... Baby dropped her flower on our way back.

Happy again!

I leave you all with a lovely picture of the Moloka'i sunset.

If you ever feel the need for a relaxing peaceful vacation I highly recommend putting Moloka'i on your list. You won't regret it and there are a lot of things to do and visit while there. It may be a little island but it sure does have a lot to offer. My cousin went hunting for the first time, so yes, guys will have an awesome time too.

I've got some jewelry I've got to share with you, also I've got more DIY things for you all and a make up post! If you want to see a certain makeup look let me know. :)

Until next time my pretty sunflowers.

Love,
Camie

Island Sun

Hello my beautiful sand turtles,
The other week I was spending the day with my best friend and she got a shipment from a website called Tillys.com. She was very excited for the new clothes that she ordered, and once I saw them I knew I had to share these awesome finds with you all too.

Tillys.com is a surf and skate company that supplies countless surf and skate brands. Their prices are very reasonable and their products are absolutely Hawai'i approved--they're very cute, the girl stuff that is.
Once again, I am by no means sponsored or paid to to any reviews.

This is her shipment of clothes from Tillys.com.
Everything was neatly packed in a generous sized box, nothing was just thrown in--you could tell you were getting quality items.

Introducing my beautiful friend Bre.
She is wearing Full Tilt - braid trim woman's tank, perfect for dressing up with a pair of heels or down thrown over a bikini.

I love the beautiful lace detail and the delicate feminine floral print.

This one is truly a day/night top. It goes perfectly with what Bre is wearing yet I can see it matched up perfectly with a pair of long black board shorts and converse; sexy skate chick.

Perfect for a day at the beach or a trip around the island. Awesome thing too depending on your bathing suit top you probably won't get a weird tan.

Perfect for those late nights at the beach with friends. It's called thermal but it's light weight and 100% cotton so it's breathable.
The faux leather and lovely design of espadrille make these wedges one to not pass up. The best feature is these wedges form to your arch which makes for a very comfortable wear.

So overall we're very satisfied with Tillys.com, with very reasonable prices and the wide arrange of products you'll always find something you'll instantly fall in love with.

And thank you so much Bre for agreeing to do this awesome photo shoot for my blog. Hopefully more to come!

Until next time my sand turtles.

Love,
Camie

Honey Bee

Hello my beautiful honey bees!

About a week back I found these beautiful smelling body washes. The aroma that fills the air as you shower is just beautiful. I was so excited for these wonderful but cheap finds! Okay lets get on to it!
*Note: I am in no way sponsored or paid to do any of these hauls/reviews*

Okay first I'm going to start off with the Pure & Natural - Moisturizing Almond Oil and Cherry Blossom body body wash; that one is to the far right.

I came across of this one at Price Busters, it was the more expensive of the three although it only cost me $3.99. This beautiful natural bottle caught my eye, and with it saying 98% natural it also caught my interest. I like what it says on the back of the bottle so I will quote it for you, "We understand that everyday choices we make have a direct impact on how we live tomorrow. That's why we only develop products that nurture you without sacrificing the world around you. Our moisturizing body wash:
- Is Biodegradable
- Comes In 100% Recycable Packaging
- Is Paraben Free
- Is Not Tested On Animals (my favorite one)"

And right under all of that it says that they make an annual donation of at least $100,000 to World Wildlife Fund.
Isn't that awesome? I love to read the entire bottle of anything new I use while showering and I feel pretty great while reading all of that. My four dollars well spent!

Oops! I almost forgot the scent. When showering you instantly get the floral scent of cherry blossom and then the subtle warm notes of the almond oil. Unfortunately the scent did not last that long on my skin out of the shower.
Here's the website for this wonderful company. Pure & Natural

Now on to Essence of Beauty - Pure Amber, and Passion Flower shower gels.

I found this one at Ross' Stores for only $2.99 a bottle! But the price isn't what first attracted me to these body washes, it was the shape. I absolutely love that you can either let it stand like regular body washes or  you can actually hang it! I love that!

The scent of these body washes are just lovely. The Passion Flower(one on the right in pink) is what I envision a floral princess to smell like. It's very floral with a hint of ... clean. I have a hard time explaining this one. hehe. On the back of the bottle it says that it awakens, warms, and soothes. There's also a title and this one is called Intriguing. The wear on your skin when out of the shower is decent.
Now to my favorite one! Pure Amber(one on the left in golden Amber) this one is warm. It's very calming and   soothing. The back of this bottle hit it straight on the nose. "The rich warm sets of amber and sandal wood will make you feel like royalty; luxuriously pampered and confident." That is exactly how I felt when lathering up with this bubbly body wash! The title on the back said Romantic and I felt so beautiful when using this. Maybe it's just my kind of smell, but this one is my favorite. The wear on your skin out of the shower is really good. I could smell the beautiful aroma through the night.

These products isn't as environmentally friendly as the first product but it does say--which I am very happy about--that they don't test on animals. There's also a satisfaction guarantee.

So these are my new bath indulgence, what is yours?

Untill next time honey bees. Btw, I am obsessed with the song Honey Bee by Blake Shelton.

Oh, one more thing! Check out one of the best giveaway's I've seen. It's amazing. www.makeupdiary.org

My Treasure.

Hello my beautiful bloggers.
I know it's been a long while and I do apologize.

Just the other week I stopped by a garage sale that was near my really good friends house and I found this treasure( ...well I considered it to be a treasure; my friends..not so much) of a hand bag. It was insanely cheap so I just had to buy it.

One woman's trash is MY treasure!

Front

Back

So I was out in the yard with my two babies and one of them decided to inspect my new hand bag. I am pretty sure she approves! ^_~

What do you think beautiful bloggers? Do you approve?
Also, it's leather, yes I don't exactly support wearing animals but what the hay, this is a very old bag.
Anyone know how to clean leather? I am very clueless!

So comment my bloggers. Tell me do you like my new find? Do you have a similar found treasure of your own? and ... do you know how to clean leather?

Until then beauties...

Camie

Something Old?

*Notice -  A whole bunch of my lovely comments were deleted! Not by me, I promise.
One day they were here and one day they just were gone. I don't know if this is a common thing to happen on
Blogger but I am very sad about that.
I miss and very much appreciate every single one of the comments that were cruelly deleted.
Sorry my beauties.

Make it new with glitter!
See how gross and dirty my once pretty floral fabric pumps have sadly become?
Well with some waterproof fabric glue and some pretty fine glitter I gave new life to my once loved well fitting pumps!

I let it sit for a little more than a day and I wore it out as soon as I was sure the glue had dried.
Let me tell you, it was an instant hit! All my friends loved it and I felt so omnipotent. Okay yes I did look that word up but it really does fit. ^_^

So what do you think my beautiful bloggers? Do you like the outcome? Have you tried this yourself?
Let me know beautiful!

Oh and before I go, here's two contests for you!

Dine On a Dime...and My New Find!

Lunch time!
Plating makes everything look and taste better. For lunch I had Chow Mein Noodles and Sweet Green Iced Tea. The Noodle brand is Sapporo Ichiban Chow Mein Noodles, you can get them at under a dollar a package.

Now, I had bought some of the yummy oatmeal from McDonald's and had plated it. I've got to admit that in  picture it doesn't look as appetizing as it did in real life.

Now to my exciting find!!!
For years I've been in love with Moschino. I saw the line on a late night fashion show when I was sixteen and from there I was in love. Being that Moschino is a higher end brand I've never had the chance to own anything from the line(plus I don't yet shop online) until that is I saw the Moschino Cheap And Chic Eau De Toilette in Ross! I was so overjoyed I think I may have made a fool out of myself, but it was SO worth it.
Here it is.

I love the feminine scent of it! It was a nice blend of floral top notes with fruity undertones. I admit that my nose isn't the smartest one out there so I searched online and found the description for it.
It has notes of petitgrain, bergamot, white orchid, sandalwood, and vanilla. I may not know the first two but it's very much suited for business wear. But me being extraordinarily in love with it I am currently wearing it everywhere.
I also love the cute heart on top.

Until next time my beauties.

Love,
Camie
